The Rio Carnival 2016 will be launched in Friday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Rio de Janeiro is located on Brazil’s Atlantic coast. Facing largely south, the city sits on an inlet of this stretch of the coast, called the Guanabara Bay. Although Carnival is celebrated in towns and villages throughout Brazil and other countries, Rio de Janeiro has long been recognized as the Carnival Capital of the World with two million people per day on the streets. Attending Rio Carnival 2016 is the ultimate rite of passage for global festival lovers.

The typical Rio carnival parade is filled with revelers, floats and adornments from numerous samba schools which are located in Rio. Samba school is an association of people of the same neighborhood preparing for the Samba Parade and entertaining the community with samba nights. One of the many main purposes of the Rio carnival parade is for samba schools to compete with fellow rival.

Rio de Janeiro offers a selection of Carnival balls. The most elegant and upscale of the Rio events are the Carnival balls. The most famous are the Copacabana Magic and Scala balls. You won’t have to spend a fortune to have a great time. For most of the Rio Carnival balls, wearing costumes is not mandatory, with the exception of a few balls. Wearing one will help you get in the right mood and will make the night even more special.
