Canada Public Holidays

Canadian public holidays, known as “statutory holidays” or “stat holidays” are legislated at the national level countrywide as well as by each of the 10 provinces and three territories in Canada. Many of these holidays are observed nationwide, but each province and territory has its own holidays as well.

Each province of Canada has its own provincial holidays. Although not being official holidays, Valentine’s Day, Saint Patrick’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Halloween are traditionally celebrated by Canadians.

The Public Holidays Calendar 2014 in Canada listed below including all annual national holidays when banks, government offices, schools and businesses are closed  (unless other indications).

If you are going to travel to Canada, check out the Calendar of Public Holidays for your best holidays.
