Following the success of Miss Universe 2013 hosted in capital city of Moscow, Russia will host the 22nd Winter Olympics 2014 in Sochi city.
Sochi is a city in Krasnodar Krai, situated on the Black Sea coast near the border between Georgia and Russia. Greater Sochi sprawls for 145 kilometers along the shores of the Black Sea near the Caucasus Mountains.
Venues
Construction works preparing for the Games include building new venues and upgrading the existing telecommunications networks, electric supply and transportation systems of Sochi city.
These preparation works cover the construction of a new Olympic Park along the coast of the Black Sea within the Imeretin Valley, together with a series of buildings in the Olympic area. The competing venues in Krasnaya Polyana will be newly established.

More than 2,500 athletes will compete at the games.
